Buyer shortlist problem
Will ChatGPT recommend my business?
AI recommendations can influence which providers a buyer investigates first. A business can be excellent and still be omitted when its public website and third-party evidence do not give AI enough reason to understand, trust or shortlist it.

Run the free buyer-style test. No account is required to see whether your business appeared, the main problem and one source receipt.

AI systems assemble answers from public information they can retrieve. They may find a competitor first because that competitor describes its services more clearly, demonstrates relevant experience, publishes stronger buyer guidance, has more independent corroboration, or is easier to connect with a location and customer need.
Absence is not proof that a business is poor. It is evidence that the sampled answer did not find enough reason to include it at that moment.
What the free buyer-style test does
AI Visibility Meter derives a non-branded service, audience and location from the public homepage. It then asks three web-grounded buyer questions without giving the model the business name or domain. Only afterwards does a named diagnostic investigate why the business appeared or did not.
- A broad category search
- An ideal-customer situation
- A preference-based buyer situation
Problems worth checking
- Your category or primary offer is unclear.
- Your location or service area is difficult to verify.
- Your strongest claims lack visible proof.
- Your pages answer service questions but not buyer-decision questions.
- Competitors have clearer case evidence, comparisons or independent mentions.
- Your site is difficult for crawlers or agents to access and interpret.
What this cannot prove
The test uses web-grounded model families through OpenRouter. It does not reproduce the personalised consumer ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini applications, and a point-in-time answer is not a permanent ranking. Results can change with model versions, indexes, wording, location and new public evidence.
